We've got a familiar face on our bus routes again. Please join me in welcoming Mrs. Tammy Holt back to our staff as a bus driver. She'll be taking Mrs. Smith's route. Mrs. Holt has many years of experience and wonderful way with students. We're very much looking forward to having her back on our staff. Here's a little more about Mrs. Holt:
Hello again, Pleasant Home family!

My name is Tammy Holt, and I’m excited to return to my alma mater as a bus driver. After taking a three-year hiatus, I couldn’t be happier to be back at Pleasant Home—a place that has been a part of my heart since I first walked its halls in 1976.

I previously served as a bus driver here for 18 years and am looking forward to getting back to safely transporting your children to and from school each day.

I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart, Joey Holt, for almost 36 years. We raised two sons, both graduates of Pleasant Home—Justin (Class of 2011) and Brandon (Class of 2017). Joey is a lifelong farmer, and together we own 4H Waste & Recycling Management, formerly Little Tire Hauling. Joey and I are both proud to serve our community through our work and our roots at Pleasant Home. I am blessed to have the opportunity to be back "HOME". GO EAGLES!

Obviously, you will have to wait at least until the evening of the day that a spot is assigned to you. You can get your spot on 8/4. Please get your design approved with the office before you start painting.

Some important information about school supplies. Our elementary teachers ask for a supply fee that covers most of the things students need, other than backpack and lunchbox. Pre-K supply donation is $75, see photos for the others. You may pay the teacher at "meet the teacher" or on the first day. High school students will find out what they need on the first day--generally pretty basic. Go, Eagles!

A life spent in the service of others, is a life well spent. We are very fortunate to have former Command Sergeant Major Ben Clark continue his service to our community by joining our staff as our high school history teacher in addition to being our Baseball and Cross Country Coach. While new to education, Mr. Clark brings a wealth of knowledge, a passion for personal improvement, and impeccable character to the classroom. Here's a little more about Mr. Clark: My name is Ben Clark, and I’m honored to join the faculty at Pleasant Home School as a General Social Science teacher. As a 1997 graduate of Pleasant Home School, it’s a privilege to return home and invest in the community that helped shape my life. I recently retired after a 27 year career in the military, where I gained valuable experience in leadership, discipline, and global awareness- values I look forward to sharing with students. I’ve been happily married to my wife, Mendy Mancil Clark, for 23 years. We have three wonderful children; Ty, a 2023 PHS graduate; Andrew, a Junior; and Jenna Kate, a Freshman. We are active members of Carolina Baptist Church, where I serve as Deacon and youth boys Sunday school teacher. In addition to teaching, I’m proud to serve as coach for both PHS baseball and cross-country teams. I’m passionate about helping students grow both academically and athletically. I’m excited for this new chapter and look forward to investing in the next generation here at Pleasant Home.
