Pleasant Home scores an 88 on the Alabama State Report Card for 2024-2025. That's good, but there is still much work to be done. Thank you to the faculty and staff for all you do for our children.

Veterans Day is coming next month and we’d like to honor the heroes in our Pleasant Home family. If you would, please reply to this original post with picture of your veteran, with rank, any distinguishing awards or theaters served, and the relationship to a student at PHS. We will be putting together a slide show for our panels that will run the month of Nov and for our Veterans Day program. And on behalf of the faculty and students of Pleasant Home, Thank You for your service!

Pleasant Home School's Veterans Day Program will be Friday, Nov 7, 2025 at 10:00 am in the PHS Auditorium. Our guest speaker will be Lt. Col Ike Stokes (USAF ret) and Pleasant Home Alumni. A reception for our Veterans and Guests to follow.

Please join me in welcoming Ms. Emma Potter to the PHS staff as a paraprofessional. Ms. Potter, a 2023 graduate of Pleasant Home, brings a passion for working with early childhood and has worked to earn credit hours to that end. We very much look forward to seeing her begin her journey in public education as she assists some of our early learners in their path as well. Here's a little more about Ms. Potter:
Hi my name is Emma Potter! I am a Pleasant Home Alumni. I have my Certificate in Child Development from LBW Community College and I will be attending online classes at The University of West Alabama to obtain my degree in Early Childhood Education in the Spring. I have been working with children for the past year at Camp Sonshine and I have loved every minute of it. I am grateful to have this opportunity and the chance to be apart of these children’s lives! Being in a school setting has always been a dream of mine and I’m so excited to be starting that dream at Pleasant Home!
Go Eagles!

Please join me in welcoming a familiar face to our PHS Staff, Mrs. Jessica Hart, as a paraprofessional. Those that know her, understand the depths of her compassion for children, specifically those with disabilities. We're very grateful to have her bring that level of empathy to our faculty where I have no doubt she'll continue to make a difference in the lives of others. Here's a little more about Mrs. Hart:
My name is Jessica Hart. I attended Pleasant Home School from Kindergarten through 10th grade before transferring to Tall Pines Christian Academy in Crestview, Florida.
My husband, Jason, and I have been married for 13 years. Together, we’ve raised a blended family of six children and are proud grandparents to one amazing grandson. Four of our children are Pleasant Home graduates, and we currently have a third grader at PHS—so our Eagle roots run deep!
I earned my degree in Emergency Medical Services from Lurleen B. Wallace Community College and spent several years working in the medical field. Eventually, I felt called to a new path and transitioned into education. I’m currently pursuing a degree in Behavioral Psychology from the University of Central Florida.
With 19 years of hands-on experience across various special needs dynamics, I’m excited to officially join the PHS family!
Once an Eagle, always an Eagle! 🦅❤️
