Just a reminder that spirit shirts are still on sale this week. The deadline to order is Thursday, August 27th. We would for both elementary and high school teachers to please send the image with the pictures of the shirts home through your apptegy classes along with a reminder of the deadline...we don't want anyone to miss the opportunity to order.

Please join me in welcoming Mrs. Leigh Newby to the Pleasant Home faculty!!! Mrs. Newby brings a wealth of experience and performance to our staff and we are very much looking forward to having her at PHS. Here's a little more about Mrs. Newby:
I am Leigh Newby. I am a 1991 Pleasant Home graduate. I have a Secondary English Education undergraduate degree and a masters in Instructional Technology from Auburn University Montgomery.
I have been married to my husband for 34 years and we have three sons and four grandchildren. All of our sons either graduated or will graduate from Pleasant Home and all four grandchildren are students at Pleasant Home.
I am excited to come back home to teach in a place so dear to my heart.

Welcome, Jasamine Barnett!
We are excited to welcome Jasamine to our school family as a new Paraprofessional! Her connection to our school runs especially deep, as she is not only a proud graduate of our school, but is now returning as a member of our staff. She is also the proud mother of two boys who currently attend our school.
Having experienced this school as a student herself, Jasamine understands the lasting impact that a supportive school community can have on a child. She is excited for the opportunity to give back to the school that played an important part in her own life while helping create positive experiences for the next generation of students.
Jasamine is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education and has a passion for working with children, supporting their individual needs, and helping every student recognize their unique strengths and abilities.
Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and making memories. She is excited to begin this new chapter and feels incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve the school community that has been such a meaningful part of her life.
